I’m a new client. What do I need to know?
First of all, welcome to Jones + Me! We’re excited to have you.
For all new colour clients, we require that you book in a complimentary consultation before making an appointment. This is essential so that we can accurately assess your hair, pair you up with the best stylist for your hair type, and book the right amount of time to give you the results you're after. We will also provide you with a quote and answer any questions you may have. To book a consultation, give the salon a call on 02 6169 3999 and we’ll look after you.
For new haircut clients, you'll need to book in a long appointment. If you're after a new style, we also recommend coming in for a complimentary consultation before booking your appointment so that we can plan the direction moving forward.
When you arrive at the salon, you’ll be given a client card to fill out with contact details. We kindly ask that you arrive 10 minutes early to allow for this.
Where should I park?
There is free 2 and 4 hour street parking available on Provan Street and the surrounding Campbell5 precinct.
What products do you use?
We are proud to stock Kevin Murphy and Aveda products. Both are amazing and have a focus on sustainability and natural ingredients.
We want you to love your hair, which means giving you the tools to get the most out of your salon service - beautiful hair doesn't just happen in the salon, it also happens at home.
If you have sensitivities, allergies or desire products free from specific ingredients, please have a chat to one of our stylists and we will accommodate as best we can.
What are your views on sustainability and the environment?
We care about looking after this world we live in, so to help offset our impact on the environment we have a few measures in place. We are a member of Sustainable Salons Australia which allows us to significantly reduce waste while also giving back to the community (you can read more at sustainablesalons.org), we use Eco shower heads in our basins, and we stock brands that are environmentally conscious as well as cruelty-free.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your appointment, please give us as much notice as possible as we run a cancellation list. We understand that sometimes events beyond our control pop up unexpectedly, so we do not charge for cancellations.
What is your group booking policy?
Group bookings are welcome. For group bookings of three or more people, we require a non-refundable 50% deposit at the time of booking.
Do you include toner in the price of your colours?
Yes, we believe as a client you come to us for an end result. Any toning required as a part of your colour service is included in the price of that end result. If you book in for a toner as a stand-alone service though, there is a small fee.
I’m thinking of booking a Cezanne treatment. What do I need to know?
A Cezanne Keratin Smoothing Treatment reduces frizz and gives you smoother, stronger, healthier and more manageable hair. On average, it lasts for 3-5 months.
It's best to book your Cezanne treatment not long before your next colour appointment as it can lift the colour of your hair slightly.
To get the best results after your treatment, it is important to use a sulfphate-free shampoo when washing your hair as sulphates can break down the treatment quite quickly. We have a selection available for purchase in the salon.
There is no down-time after your treatment - you can wash your hair or tie it up as soon afterwards as you would like.
My hair isn’t quite what I expected. What should I do?
We want you to be completely happy with your hair, so if the end result isn't what you were after, let us know within a week and we will gladly provide you with a redo service free of charge. To get the best results from a service, we recommend following the home-care routine prescribed by your stylist.
Did you guys used to have a different name?
We did! For about 20 years we were called THE hairdressing. We’re still exactly the same business you know and love, we just had a face lift.
